Wednesday, October 29th
- Students will perform a close reading activity where they make inferences about character based on the symbol of the wallpaper
- Each group will be assigned a page where they quote explicit references to the wallpaper, one per student
- Students will place their sticky notes on the wall in order of page number
- Students will then select a sticky note, with a quote, from another group and make an inference about the character based on the quote
- Students will place the quotes back in order on the timeline with their inferences
- The class will come together to discuss

- When you complete the graphic organizer please complete the following:
- List an example of situational irony, verbal irony, and dramatic irony in "The Yellow Wallpaper"

- Choose one of the following poetic elements: mood, metaphor, or symbol. Compose a response in which you compare how the author and painter develop that element in each work. Cite at least three specific pieces of evidence for each work.
