Tuesday, September 23rd

Periods 3 & 4- We are back in my room today. Students will read for the first 10 minutes of class. I will introduce our first vocabulary word. We will create a Quizlet account and accept the invitation to the Independent Reading Blog. Students will then complete a short sample assignment.


Period 9- Students will complete their sample assignments. I will introduce our first vocabulary word. We will review literary devices.

Monday, September 22nd

Periods 3 and 4 will block today and finish presenting their projects.

Period 9 will read for the first 10 minutes of class, create a Quizlet account, and complete a sample assignment for our class blog.

Neolithic Revolution Presentations

Today will be our last day blocking for this project. Students can use the first 10 minutes of class to complete their projects and consult with their groups. If students are finished they will read in their IR books. For the rest of class students will:

  • Present!
  • Complete a peer evaluation and project reflection
  • Take their Global vocabulary quiz

Today English 9 and Global Studies blocked to finish working on our Neolithic Revolution Project. Presentations will be tomorrow! If you were absent today, touch base with your group. Don't forget your IR book for class tomorrow and to study Global Studies Vocabulary.

Monday, September 15th

Today in English 9 students will receive background information on the Paleolithic Era and the Neolithic Revolution. Students will fill in Global Studies vocabulary and watch a clip from The History of the World in Two Hours. The film is posted below. Students should begin watching at 37 minutes and end at 60 minutes. A Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting the lives of the people of the two eras will be completed.

Tomorrow we will be blocking and beginning our first Global/English collaborative project! Please report to Mrs. Duggan's room.


Homework: Finish the response to "Who is ISIS" and President Obama's Address in your journal.
